A Greenwich Village Little League division coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing the specific age division of players within our program. This role involves a blend of organization, communication, and problem-solving to create a positive and supportive environment for young players and their families.
Here are the GENERAL responsibilities of all coordinators in the Minors, Jr Minors, and T-Ball Divisions:
Organizing Teams and Schedules: Ensuring teams are properly formed and creating game schedules.
Selecting Team Managers: Identifying Managers (or Co-Managers for each team).
Communication with Division: Acting as the main point of contact for coaches, parents, and other volunteers, addressing concerns, and providing information on league rules and events.
Upholding Safety Protocols: Ensuring all managers and coaches have completed necessary safety courses and background checks.
Managing Equipment and Facilities: Coordinating the distribution and return of equipment, ensuring games have the necessary supplies, reporting any issues with field conditions to the board.
Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Addressing any disputes or issues that arise during the season, such as conflicts between parents and coaches or rules disputes.
Reporting to Board: Provide monthly verbal report to the board.
