Summer Divisions

Baseball Minors

  • Co-ed ages 7-8‚Äč
  • 2 instructional sessions/games per week on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at Pier 40 or JJ Walker. Season is more relaxed/flexible than spring ball with understanding of some missed games due to family/camp summer plans.
  • Sessions are run by professional P3 and GVLL coaches with an emphasis on fun and skills development. Games are coach-pitch with teams formed weekly depending on attendance.

Baseball Majors

  • Co-ed ages 8-12

  • 2 recreational games/week on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at Pier 40 or JJ Walker. Season is more relaxed/flexible than spring ball with understanding of some missed games due to family/camp summer plans.

  • Advanced play with age-appropriate Little League playing rules

  • General rules include stealing (no leadoffs) and infield fly rule. To avoid injuries, we monitor pitch counts and use of catchers in all games.

  • Bats: Approved Little League of America wooden, metal bats and composite handles only. No all composite bats allow. Link

  • Professional umpires

 

Baseball Upper Division

  • Co-ed ages 13-16

  • 2 recreational games/week on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at Pier 40. Season is more relaxed/flexible than spring ball with understanding of some missed games due to family/camp summer plans.

  • Played on 90 foot bases, 60.5 foot pitcher’s mound.

  • General rules as per spring Juniors & Seniors, season, including leadoffs, stealing. To avoid injuries, we monitor pitch counts and use of catchers in all games.

  • Wood bats only, 2 1/2 inch barrel

  • Professional umpires
