Protect our Turf! Pier 40 Redevelopment Plans, Get Involved

Dear GVLL and Pier 40 Families,

You may have heard of discussions about possible redevelopment of Pier 40. Will it include residential development, a soccer stadium, or something else. We think the most important thing is that it make our park a better place to play and our community a better place to live.

But the park is in a financial crisis. Without a change of course, the fields we love may be lost. On May 31st, the Hudson River Park Trust will present ideas for changing the Hudson River Park Act. We hope you will attend. We’ll send another email with more information soon. The meeting will be on Thursday, May 31st, at 7 PM, at St. Paul’s Chapel, 209 Broadway, between Fulton and Vestry Streets. Public Meeting Notice 5-31-12
